Two double bedrooms with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Utility with WC and basin. Open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area, and sitting area with multi-fuel stoveAreaCarradale is a lively fishing village located on the east coast of the Kintyre Peninsula and is a popular resting point on the Kintyre Way. Carradale boasts many forest walks and two lovely beaches one at Carradale Bay and the other at nearby Port Righ. The village is a perfect base for exploring Kintyre as well as the numerous nearby islands of Arran, Gigha, Islay and Jura. The village is 15 miles north of Campbeltown, the Kintyre Peninsula's main town set in a deep bay, sheltered by Davaar Island, which can be reached by foot at low tide by a mile-long causeway, and the beautiful surrounding hills. In its heyday, the town boasted a vast fishing fleet and, allegedly, 34 whisky distilleries! Today, there are two single malts to be sampled in the town, from Glen Scotia and Springbank. Worth a visit are the Campbeltown Heritage Centre, housed in an old church, the Tartan Kirk, a very striking building which provides an interesting insight into its past history, and the 'Wee Picture House', the country's oldest working cinema and an Art Deco treasure! The town also offers a swimming pool and fitness suite. A few miles to the south is The Mull of Kintyre, made famous by Sir Paul McCartney's song, from where you can see the hills of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, only 12 miles away.RegionCounty Clare has so much on offer; boat trips, quirky pubs, seaside resorts and a great tradition for Irish music, all set amidst spectacular scenery such as the towering Cliffs of Moher and the fascinating landscape of The Burren.AmenitiesOil central heating.
