Description

(Reference number: 506423) Hidden away among bucolic south Welsh countryside, the estate on which this chateau-style house sits on dates back to the 14th century. However, those visiting in the 21st century will find a whole host of reasons to fall in love with the property. Walking around the interior is a bit like wandering about a museum for there are historic features everywhere you look, whether it's the stained glass window, ornate fireplace or Elizabethan-era staircase. The wood-panelled drawing room is a particular favourite of ours, mostly for the fact that it contains a secret door leading to the library. If we've made it sound fusty and dusty so far, that couldn't be further from the truth. Most of the interior design is fresh and contemporary — the sleek kitchen stands as proof of that — while the number of modern amenities at guests' disposal would put many hotels to shame. Out in the two acres of private gardens, you'll find everything from an indoor swimming pool heated by green energy and a tennis court to a walled garden with a lily pond and a domed folly. Although you can pass many an hour within the grounds, there are plenty of opportunities for walking and wildlife spotting in the local area, while the Brecon Beacons National Park is only twenty minutes away by car, too. Home truths: *The home is spread over three floors, so it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility *There's room to park on the premises . Thinking of selling? We have the right buyers if you have the right property. Five Star International - Targeted global audience Tel: +353 (0)1 566 8494 Email: admin@fivestar.ie
