Today, a memorial statue of a rebel pikeman dominates the centre of the village. The village is a popular location with national school, local shop, hairdressers and Dillons is a popular bar & bistro and there is also the well known 98 Bar. Moyne secondary school, which is well renowned, is also nearby.
